A great boating lake that's home to monster muskie, Lake Chippewa is a boating and fishing enthusiasts dream-lake! There are six boat launch ramps for public use which also allow access to areas of shoreline for fishing from the bank. Camping, lodging and restaurants are all nearby. The 15,300-acre has over 200 miles of shoreline, plus floating bogs that are like migrating motels for the fish species thriving here. Chippewa Lake is located in the north-central part of WI, 10 miles east of Hayward. Year-round fishing, including ice fishing when there is safe ice, makes this a great fishing destination. Populating the lake are healthy schools of bass, muskie, perch, crappie, catfish, walleye, northern pike, sturgeon and panfish.
