The scenic, boating vacation paradise of Mooselookmeguntic Lake awaits boating and fishing enthusiasts. Camping, lodging, boat rentals, restaurants and stores are all available at the lake, or very close by. With almost 60 miles of shoreline, this 16,300-acre lake in the southwest part of the state is a bit of nature at its best. There are a couple places to launch boats, with the most popular being Haines Landing Boat Launch. Canoes, kayaks and car-toppers can be portaged from various access areas around the lake. Many anglers come in search of the populations of trout, perch and salmon. Fishing from the bank is popular with plenty of places to wet a line.
