Boating, camping and fishing.

A 67-mile long section of the Colorado River becomes the boating destination known as Lake Mohave, behind Davis dam. This 28,800-acre fishery is on the AZ-NV border, in the far southeast corner of the state, at Laughlin. There are a dozen or more access points, all stemming off Highway 95. Camping, RV parks, marinas, restaurants and other amenities are located at many of these public areas. Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina has rental boats, including houseboats, plus a public boat launch ramp. Several primitive launching options are located at various access points for smaller boats, canoes and kayaks. Fishing enthusiasts can explore over 200 miles of shoreline in search of bass, catfish, crappie, trout, striped bass and sunfish. The rough, rugged terrain surrounding this water wonderland limits access to the shore. Fishing from the bank is available at, or nearby these areas as well.
