With a maximum boating depth of twelve feet, Washoe Lake is a boating and fishing lake which is managed as a warm-water fishery. Washoe Lake State Park has a public boat ramp, picnic areas, campsites, and restrooms. When full, the lake has 5,800 surface acres and about 20 miles of shoreline. Visit this gem in the west central part of the state, 5 miles north of Carson City, Nevada, and enjoy the great outdoors and water-sport activities. Anglers pursue catfish, crappie, white bass and hybrid stripers by fishing from the bank or from all types of fishing boats. Water levels can fluctuate significantly from season to season.
