Fishing enthusiasts have 210 miles of shoreline to explore as they seek out their favorite fish species. There are multiple fish species to pursue, including bass, stripers, perch, crappie, pickerel, catfish, white bass and numerous species of sunfish. Fish attractors are located around the lake to enhance the growth and development of various species of fish and baitfish. Additionally, some of the best fish cover in the lake, submerged stumps, standing timber and aquatic vegetation, can also be a major hazard to boat navigation. Extra caution is advised. Local fishing guides are available for hire. Access to the shoreline for fishing from the bank is available at Fred L. Day Fishing Pier and around some of the eight public boat launch ramps.
