Taylorsville Lake In Kentucky

Boating, camping and fishing.
An absolute boating and recreation paradise, Taylorsville Lake is loaded with fish and surrounded by beauty. Pontoons, power boats and jon boats are available for rent at the marina. Bring a kayak, canoe or a fishing boat to explore the lake in pursuit of your favorite species. Five paved boat launch ramps are available for public use. Most amenities for camping, boating and fishing trips can be found at the lake or in nearby Taylorsville. Anglers come to catch bass, crappie, white bass, sunfish, saugeye, hybrid stripers and catfish from this 3,000-acre lake in the north-central part of the state, at Taylorsville, KY. These fertile waters are banded by 93 miles of shoreline. In spring and fall anglers concentrate on these shorelines as bass, crappie and sunfish move shallow. During summer and winter the fish move deeper to more comfortable temperatures, following the baitfish which are doing the same. White bass and hybrids tend to school, follow baitfish and generally hang out deeper. Catfish can be caught year round and often relate to creek and river channels.
