Offering boating and water sports in summer plus a wide range of fish species, Lake Poinsett is an 7,900-acre lake in the east-central part of the state, at Stone Bridge. Over 16 miles of sandy or rocky shoreline await anglers fishing for bass, catfish, crappie, walleye, sunfish, perch, salmon and northern pike. Ice fishing for walleye, perch and crappie is popular in winter, and the fishing is considered good pretty much year round.
