Home to the WI state record lake trout, plus healthy populations of bass, trout, perch, walleye, white bass, trout, northern pike, muskies, catfish, crappie and sunfish all thrive in this fertile reservoir. The lake sets in the south-central part of the state, at the city of Green Lake, WI. There are 29 miles of shoreline with eight boat launch landings and access to the shore for fishing from the bank at numerous places around the lake. In winter, during safe ice, local anglers go ice fishing catching most of the fish species in the lake.
