Open for boating and fishing, Lake DuBay is a 6,700-acre reservoir in the central part of the state, at Knowlton, WI. Use one of the four public boat launch ramps to launch larger pleasure boats, pontoons and fishing boats. Marinas, stores, restaurants, bait, tackle and lodging are all convenient during a fishing trip or vacation to Lake DuBay. The lake is well known for excellent walleye, smallmouth bass and panfish fishing. Other fish species in the lake include largemouth, bass, catfish, crappie, perch, muskie and northern pike. Anglers will find 42 miles of shoreline, plus numerous islands, tree stumps and shallow humps that attract fish. In fact, boaters should heed caution regarding submerged hazards around the lake. In winter when there is safe ice, locals enjoy ice fishing for numerous species. Areas of the shoreline for fishing from the bank, or portage of a canoe or kayak, are available at lakeside campgrounds.
