A mile wide and three miles long, Carter Lake is an 1,100-acre lake located in the north-central part of the state, 5 miles out of Loveland, CO. If you enjoy boating, water sports, camping and fishing, Carter Lake has it all. Boat launch ramps are located at the sailing club, South Shore Campground and Carter Lake Marina. Several campgrounds are located are located around the lake, close by the water. A virtual fishing paradise with plenty of water to explore, the lake offers fishing for bass, crappie, walleye, trout, bluegill and perch.
